Thank you and Farewell
There is no easy way to say it, but my time at Bethany is quickly coming to a close. November 9th will be my last Sunday with you all. I was able to see many of you this past Sunday during our reformation and confirmation festivities, but if you weren't and if the message was not clear enough, THANK YOU. From the bottom of my heart, I want to express deepest gratitude for allowing my family, with its many different arrangements, into your community. We've done a lot together through the Spirit that binds us together always. I know you will continue to grow, love, and shine as people of God through the grace, peace, and mercy of Jesus Christ our Lord, who never leaves your side. -Pastor Joseph |
...But what about the Chime?
The Chime was started by me and run solely by me as my way of having transparent communication with the congregation. This was especially important towards the beginning of my ministry with you all and, after much positive feedback, just continued on an (almost) weekly basis. There cannot be an expectation that anybody else will continue this ministry after I leave. In fact, the plan is for the Chime to end and for the publication of the Bell to go back to its monthly release. Maybe the Chime will come back again one day. But until then, the Chime had *dinged* for the last time. -Pastor Joseph |

ConfirmingSunday, October 26, 2025 IntroductionRooted in the past and growing into the future, the church must always be reformed in order to live out the love of Christ in an ever-changing world. We celebrate the good news of God’s grace, that Jesus Christ sets us free every day to do this life-transforming work. Trusting in the freedom given to us in baptism, we pray for the church, that Christians will unite more fully in worship and mission. John 8:31-36
31 Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” 33 They answered him, “We are descendants of Abraham and have never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean by saying, ‘You will be made free’?”
34 Jesus answered them, “Very truly, I tell you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. 35 The slave does not have a permanent place in the household; the son has a place there forever. 36 So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” For more infomation visit: http://bethanylutheran166.tithelysetup.com/media/2025-10-27-confirming
