UPCOMING CONGREGATION MEETING

Please mark your calendars for an important congregational meeting being called by your Council set to happen right after church on September 7th. This meeting is in regard to the church's current financial situation and planning for the future of our ministry together. CHOIR

CHOIR

Sing to him, sing praises to him;

tell of all his wonderful works.

~Psalm 105:2

The Bethany choir will begin rehearsing again on Sunday, September 21. I hope to welcome back all the fine singers we had last year as well as add some new voices!

I have picked out a wide variety of music, including the joyous "Sussex Carol" ("On Christmas Night"), a jazzy version of hymn #439 "Soon and Very Soon" which has a great men's part, the beautiful "O Lord Most Holy" (Panis Angelicus") and a contemporary song "Glory" composed by my sister, a professional composer, singer, and music director in St. Paul. We will also be singing some familiar favorites from previous years.

My goal for choir is that everyone has an enjoyable music experience learning the music, singing together, and making individual improvement in order to perform and share our music with the Bethany congregation to enhance our worship experience.

I'm excited about making music together and I look forward to our choir season!

Lois Kelly-Pieper

Choir Director

Bethany's Wo-Zha-Wa Bake Sale

Bethany's Wo-Zha-Wa Bake Sale

Friday, September 12, 2025

Bethany's Wo-Zha-WA Bake Sale will be held on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025 9:00 am until 3pm.

We would appreciate any kind of baked goods or monetary donations. Baked goods can be brought to church on Thursday, Sept 11, from 10 am to 6pm for pricing.

Please package ready to be sold (cookies can be packaged by 12 or less).

Identify the item and note any concerns: Does it contain nuts? Is it gluten-free? What kind of cookies?

Most fronted items don't hold up well on the outdoor sales talbe, and pies or cakes could be plated by pieces that are easier to carry.

Volunteers to help set up tables and canopies and take down, would be awesome! Also two shifts, 9 to 12 and 12 to 3, for selling.

Please see Jan Dorow for details. 608-432-6075.

Thanks in advance for your donations!!

Special Olympics Wisconsin Fall Games Volunteers Needed

Good Morning!

My name is Danny Kuklinski and I work for Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI). SOWI provides sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Through sports, SOWI provides continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience joy while sharing gifts, skills and friendship across Wisconsin.

Special Olympics Wisconsin will host the inaugural Fall Games State Competition at Woodside Dells Sports Complex in Wisconsin Dells on September 5-7, 2025. Fall Games will feature state competition in Bocce, Flag Football and Softball for 800 SOWI athletes.

Fall Games will not be possible without the support of volunteers! We are still in need of volunteers over the weekend to make this event a success! Volunteer roles include scorekeeping for bocce, softball and flag football, presenting awards, and general event support roles. No experience is necessary to volunteer with Special Olympics Wisconsin as training will be provided on-site; however, you must be at least 13 years of age, unless accompanied by an adult.

We would love to invite you and the Bethany Lutheran Church to volunteer for this event!
