Jane grew up in Menomonie, Wisconsin. She spent 2 years at Ripon College, before transferring to UW-Madison to earn a BS in Pharmacy. She married her husband Scott in 1979 and moved to the Wisconsin Dells area. They have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.
She worked as a pharmacist in Adams, Reedsburg, and Wisconsin Dells (at Bork and Kane Drug Store and Travelmart Pharmacy), and retired in 2020 after 42 years.
Jane studied piano through high school, and was pianist for Sunday School for many years at Bethany, and served as a pianist for worship as well. In 2002, she started learning to play the organ, and has been taking lessons since. She currently is one of 3 organists at Bethany.
Jane has been a member of Bethany since 1980, is a member of choir and Women of the ELCA.
Besides studying and practicing organ, she enjoys knitting, sewing, bike riding, golf, pickleball, travel, camping, and spending time with family. She enjoys the challenge of learning organ music, both traditional and modern. “Music is an integral part of worship and the organ provides variety and instrumental support for congregational hymn singing.”
